Not really sure. My Motherboard is being delivered on monday (1/9) for my opty rig (in sig). While technically I have 2 7800GTs in SLI, i'll disable SLI just for you ;)

I got my 7800GT last week. I have a socket 754 Sempron system.

I run it at 1280 x 1024 too. I am really happy with BF2. Everyhting to max, AA and AF on and it's brilliant.

COD2 I only have the demo. The graphics are amazing, however fps are in the 30s and 40s. Because they don't jump around like cracy I consider it very smooth.

Another game I'd like to mention is FEAR. I am playing at 1152 x 864 with AA and AF on. It does run quite good at 1280 res, however lowering the resolution has a tremendoes effekt on performance. You get like 15 frames more and then the games just flies, wheras at 1280 there are slight slowdowns when things get crazy.

On COD2 it runs real good alot better than the demo and in BF2 it runs real smooth as well. Only in COD2 do i every notice any actual drop in frame rate wich is due too some heavy firefight but overall both of these games are very playable at 1280x1024 with high settings.

At the moment I only have 512 + 256 ram, which I will upgrade pretty soon, so the chopiness that I get is because of loading from the disk.

But once everyhing is loaded BF2 is smooth as. You won't be disappointed, thats for sure.

It's because you only have 1 gig of memory. And unless your OCing the 3200+, then another thing slowing you down (but the processor isn't that big of a performance hit, I think it's the RAM). Or you can thank the bad programmers you programmed the game. It's horribly programed, which leads to bad framerates.

Try turning Lighting to medium, Dynamic Lighting to low/medium, Dynamic Shadows to low/medium, ... this should solve your fps issues without much loss in eye candy.

Also, you know by now that 1 GB is not enough to run this game with high textures...

Also #2, turn off the AF as BF2 already has its own texture filtering.

With everything set to high as hootnany all maxed out with a res of 12x10, i get around 32-64 Fps amd thats with multiplayer and smoke and all that jazz, the lowest i ever seen it drop on any given time was 25 fps, but that was once. And this is for COD2

With my CPU at 2.8, ram at 256, and 7800GT at 500/1350, I get around 70-100 FPS on BF2 with all settings on high and filtering on 2x (gota test higher, still overclocking though)

Haven't tried COD2 with this card yet

What i want to know though is if this is in multiplayer with 64 players or in single player with 16
