I'm thinking of buying that eVGA 7800gt combo instead of buying the 7800gs AGP card. The computer in my sig I ordered from Monarch Computers last June. I have never built my own computer. If I bought this combo, what would be involved with switching out the motherboard, but keeping all my current memory, cpu, psu, etc... Can I just pop the 3200+ out of my A8V board and put it into the new motherboard?

Will this be a big job and will all my stuff be compatable with this new eVGA MB?

Not really worth the effort. I would just install the 7800GT into your current set-up and be happy with the new video card.
 
As long as your CPU is socket 939 everything will be compatible.

You may have to buy a 20-24 pin adapter for your PSU if it is not 24-pin native.

I can't install a 7800gt because it is pci-e that is the point of the combo-:roll: I have a AGP board....

anyone know if my antec 380 came with sonata case is native 24 pin?

Don't worry. I have the same mobo. Yes the eVGA NF41 is a 24pin board, but a 20pin male PSU will also work. Don't remove the sticker on the female connector on the board. In other words, leave the sticker on so you PSU connector lines up correctly. But it also has a notch that'll keep it straight.

After a week or so with the NF41 installed, I went ahead and bought the $5.00 20pin->24pin harness.

Either way will work.
