When you test load, make sure you are not just exiting a game and looking at the temp. Use a program that keeps a record of the temps, and play a game, then check to see what the load temp is. Or use rthdribl and watch them in real time.

can I ask you a quick question? if you connect an external dvd player to the s-video in and play back, say, star wars episode 3 or something else copyrighted legit, etc...does it not come through? i.e. did you ever get the "cannot find capture device" after installing wdm/myvivo drivers? I've posted this before, but you're the firsty person I've found with the exact same card as me.
