Wow the prices on the GTs have dropped quickly.

This is almost tempting if I had a machine I could use it in.

Looks like the chips that fail the "cherry picked" tests at BFG go straight into 3DFuzion. 1 year warranty and not factory overclocked.

Where does it say that? The reduced warranty alone may be why the price is so low.
Still running at standard GT speeds of 400/1000.

This is a nice deal to: Linky

go eVGA...so much better...they offer amazing support...I just updated my BIOS fr my card, and it made all my BF2 frame drops go the way of the dodo bird.

Its already been headed there.... ;)

Hence why when I dumped my MSI K8N Neo2 (got sick of all the problems with it) I handed my 6800 Ultra over to my Dad, and got a BFG nForce 4 Ultra, and an eVGA 7800GT w/BF2.

I love it (but update the bios immediatly....it fixes SO much.)

3D Fuzion is certainly getting nice publicity as a result of their having the lowest-priced card on the market. That's for sure. Hopefully a couple review sites will review it for us and help assuage our fears that they are inferior "binned" GPUs and cards.

still, why is it ~$80 cheaper than other ones? Sure, it may not be factory OCed, but that shouldn't make it this cheap...

My first post - but I thought I should finally post to the forum to give some more information on this card as reviews or comments are so hard to find.

I bought this 7800GT last Friday and received it on Monday (very fast service from the seller). Anyway, I ran the detect optimal frequencies overclock test in Coolbits and it came back with a 474 x 1150. I have not yet tested it at this setting, but have run it at 450 x 1100 (I'm easing into it...). So far so good.

At this setting (450x1100) my 3dmark05 score was 7,549. I have not had any artifacting or other problems. The hottest I noticed it getting at this oc was 57C, which was after an 1hr of playing half-life2 at 4x AA, 8x Anistropic and 1680X1050 resolution (with all settings at max). With no load it is at around 40-42C.

As I say, so far so good. I wanted to post this as I was originally wondering if I should buy with virtually no reviews anywhere, but so far I am glad I did. I have seen higher oc's out there on other cards, but I also don't feel I have not really pushed it yet.

My system specs are AMD3200 (Winnie) oc at 2.5 w. XP90; 7800gt 3dfuzion oc at 450x1100; dell 2005fpw; Audigy2 ZS; 1G Corsair; Asus SLI-Deluxe MB.

That's enough from me, now it's back to HL2. I may post back if I start running at a higher oc.

No lifetime warranty, perhaps?

I am looking at this one and not to far off what I picked up my 6800NU about 10 months ago from BFG.....I would be happy with modest ocing ability....Much higher clocks then my current card to say the least and it already beats a lot of the system at specs own page...

Tonight I overclocked the card to 475x1.15 and scored a 7938 on 3dmark05. The temperature did climb to 52C, which means I guess it would likely be around 60C when pushed by more intense gaming for a longer time period.

Still no sign of any issue with artifacts or tearing...

Actually, I doubt I will push the oc too much more unless I get a different cooling solution, like an Arctic cooler or Zalman. I'm already very happy with the oc.

I guess the next thing to do is see if I can collect the rebate, since I have decided I'm keeping the card. At almost double the 3dmark score of my old 6600gt and incredible performance while gaming at the highest resolution my monitor can handle (1680x1050), I definitely can't complain.
