Does anyone know when the 7800gs is supposed to be released??

No , but probably Q1 2006, nvidia is going to stop making the 6800 GS and the 7800 GS will take its place, it should cost about $200.

Why would you want to know anyway? Would you run out and spend $500 on one the day it comes out? I don't get you crazy people.

It was never predicted to release at 500 dollars, but moreso somewhere in the 250 range which is cheaper than most 6800gt which is outpreforms
