I am running a AMD 3200 OC 3400 ,2gb PC3200 and X850XT. I really like high frame rate and BF2 is just not cutting it. I have tone stuff down alot to get to the desired frame rate. Other thing is I have a 7800GT PCIe just sitting waiting to get built into my new Media PC system. I have bought one of those quiet/venting coolers Artic Silencer 5 that I put on the 7800GT to run cool and quiet in my media PC. I have considered selling my ATI card on ebay and then buying a 7800GS and putting the NVSilencer5 on it and using my older system for my Media PC since it won't be used for games as much as my main desktop. Long story short.....

Do you think I could put the NV Silencer 5 onto the new AGP version of the 7800GS? Hope so.

Assuming the 7800GS uses the same PCB as its 7800 brothers, I would say you are good to go.

Yep , I just got one home and saw that. The fan is a little loud so I might need to replace it with something like a Zalman or whoever will make a cooler for it. I will be running this in my Media Center and quiet is key.

Besides an NV Silencer 5, the Zalman VF700 Cu also does not appear to be fully compatible with the 7800 GS. I tried to install a VF-700 Cu on my 7800 GS earlier, but I found that the mounting bracket holes don't match up with the holes on the card; the mounting bracket would need to be modified first before being able to properly mount a VF-700 Cu to the 7800 GS.

At least the stock heatsink isn't too bad; I was able to OC to 480/1380 stable with it. :D
