I've not seen anything on here , but talk about it....does anyone know of anyone successfully unlocking 4 more pipes on this card? This is the AGP version that I'm talking about btw....
If we haven't had any luck unlocking any more pipes , or there are none to unlock. What are some of the best overclocks you've acheived with this card?

I don't think it can be done. Well I've not heard of anyone doing it.

The only GS I've seen with 20 pipes is the Gainward one, and thats really a GT anyway.

Yea , I found just one thread so far that showed they (Nvidia) has made it pretty difficult to unlock pipes anymore...but with the 4 less pipes , that means less heat , which should equal out to this card being really overclockable.
I bought the EVGA 7800gs CO Superclock , and now that I'm looking at the 7800gs CO ....which is $50 cheaper , and is only 20mhz slower core and like 30 mhz slower memory.... Makes me wonder if I should have done some more research before I spent my money. I'm happy with the card , it does everything I want it to do , and then some. It's sweet.....but $50 less for the same , or better performance nags at my soul.....

It's not possible to unlock the extra pipes on a 7800 GS, since nVIDIA laser-cut the disabled pipes.
