7800 Temp monitoring

I'm currently in the process of building a new uber PC and I'm curious how and if it is possible to monitor the temps of your GFX card. My current card (ti400) doesn't monitor your temp or voltages.

I'm hoping Nvidia gfx cards now monitor voltage and temp, otherwise I'd ahve to connect a sensor up there. So anybody with a 7800 care to answer if you can monitor your settings via speedfan, MBM5, etc. or am I gonna have to plan to hook a probe up there.

thx in advance

yeah, all the new cards have temp readings. i think it was an option for the manufactureres for some cards, but the 7800 for sure does. its inside the nvidia utility.

excellent. now I just have to wait to see if ATI can beat nvidia (I hope they do) so nvidia will release a 7800 Ultra. Mmmm.
