7800 GTX with an NV47 core

ok the G70 aka 7800 series was once called the NV47

so tell me how someone can have a card and sell it as legit menaing a legitimate 7800 GTX and say it has an NV47 core i mean i know how they got it.. its a test model and it is FREE


where some of these cards actually released with NV47 cores ? somereason i am calling shinanigans and this is a Pre-Production model card that someone is selling as retail...

i dont have all the info yet.. im just trying to help a friend who asked me about this..

It is nv47 if you check through the NVperformance tool in the developer session.

But the name isn't what matter though you get the best performance now.
