7800 GTX overheats way too much... solutions?

I have an eVga 7800 GTX which i run on a A8N SLI MB.. i havent had any problem as in my computer hasnt been crashing, but ive been doing some work on my computer lately which doesnt involve my vid card (changing ram etc), and ive actualy burned my fingers on my vid card. Im afraid that one day the whole thing will jut burn out. I usualy keep a small fan blowing on it, which ive crudely installed above the card, but that doesnt really do much.

I dont know how to explain things better.. its just feels like my card is running way too hot, and i dont want it to 😛 Thanks!

Get a Zalman VF900CU. I had one on my 7900GT with the 1.4v mod @ 650/1900 and load temps never went over 60c.

an aftermarket cooler like the ZALMAN stated above would help but usually the stock cooler is good enough at stock speeds I wouldn't say the finger test is too good If you want to check temps get a program that monitors them and tell us what your temps

I suggest SpeedFan though it doesn't work as properly on my comp I've heard good stuff from others

Get the asus probe utility, since your running an asus board, it can tell you your temps. Also, get a can of dust off and clean out your card to make sure all of the dust and dirt buildup is gone. You could also get a PCI slot fan cooler to blow air up onto the video card for extra cooling.
