Gouged too, no less. I wonder if it was a mistake. Maybe it's true that nvidia has already shipped these suckers out for the launch date. Interesting.

Im going to call tommorow and see if they are going to be shipping it. If so Ill order one, not the GTX tho. I am hoping they have a cut-down model for about $350-400 or so.

WHAT!? There is no way in hell I'm ever going to fork out $650 for a video card. I'll wait a bit for the 6800GT price to drop and get one of those.

Im not either. However I AM highly interested to see if they have any GTs in the $350-400 range. <goes off to check Sparco.com>

Same here, which is why I plan on calling them first thing tommorow morning.

I wonder how heat dissapation works on that thing with just a single slot cooler? It looks almost exactly like the stock 6800GT cooler, which doesn't cool very well even compared to some other single slot designs.

i'm more interested in the "Ultra" model, if such a model actually exists... otherwise, i think r520...

Same here (assuming all rumors so far have been "reasonably" accurate). If I'm going to drop ~$500 on a video card, it needs to be a worthy upgrade from my 6800GT...

Well at least we get dual-link DVI without the workstation board prices.

This is definitely a mistake. They included a PDF from eVGA in the description as well, and eVGA themselves don't even have it on their site. I imagine that this page won't last long. However, I think it does serve to solidify what the specs are on this card. Additionally, we can assume an MSRP of ~$500-550 based on the level of the gouge.

I think once the price settles down a little bit one (or two) of those will find themselves a home in my rig.
nice find.

So based on that price the GTX is the new ultra name? They'll have a GT too?

I think that's how it works (assuming the rumors from The Inquirer are correct). Then supposedly they might release an actual 'Ultra' later, in case it's needed to compete with R520. I shudder to think of what name they may give that card. :p

I heard that GTX is only considered as "GT" version. Ultra version would be out after ATI's R520 flagship is out.
So $600 is definitely not worth it

You think r520? Are you using the "Force" to make these decisions? Or do you think it prudent to wait for benchmarks before you try thinking again?....

r520 may indeed be the champ this gen, but that is not known and won't be known for a while.
