WTF!?! no SLI for notebooks!?! :)

Seriously, That's a mutha of an integrated video card. I hope Apple puts something like this (or better by that time) into their Intel based PowerBooks.

i thought that was the dell for a bit there.

if only the things weren't $3000 :(

The silver and grey is utterly inoffensive, but we don't believe it befits a laptop of this power. Frankly, we want something a little racier, a little more edgy and stylish, something that screams 'I rock!'
i, for one, like understated designs. simple is elegant. lights and weird colors are garish. ricing is unattractive, car or computer.

I've verified with Dell this morning that in about a month, they'll be able to offer the 7800 for the XPS Gen2 (at most likely a $400 or so price point), where they will either send a technician out to install it, or you can do it yourself.

I'm sure that's not a standard x16 PCI-e interface, but it sure does look similar.

No, it's not a standard PCI-E interface, it is the MXM interface, and it does look similar because it still has to use the x16 bus ;) .

A fully loaded XPS Gen 2 from AAFES currently can be had WITH a 7800 Go GTX 256mb for $1849! I ordered one yesterday - was tempted to add it but instead went with the 6800 Go Ultra 256mb for $1499 instead.

its not funny at all....it may just seem odd to this forum since we are all enthusiasts here....most of the ppl out there use high-end cards on P4 machines.
