7800 GTX 512MB fails in 1,170 hours!!!

Hmmm. 1,170 hours is 48.75 days. I wish I had a 7800 GTX 512MB to try this out on. I have spare equipment at work and could easily run the test, but poor me only has 7800 GTX and not the 512MB version.

If you look at the graphs, it shows 1170 hours before 1/1000 will fail. The side caption however says "Industry standard calculations projections: 7800GTX 512MB will fail in 1170 hours" which is patently false since it implies that ALL cards will fail, not 1 out of 1000. In order to test this claim, you'd need at least 1000 cards and run them all for 1170 hours and see how many fail. You'd probably need a lot more cards than 1000 to obtain anything conclusive though.

Uhh...at 125C. I bet X1800s would fail at that temp too.
