Okay thur the ages i have upgraded my video card. First was a intel integrated graph chip (man oh man the sims was fun) i honestly thought that only fools went out to buy video cards, And that if you had a good enough computer like my {ibm celeron 2.0 ghz 256 mb of ram comp} that you didnt need a video card because hey why should i i could play games. i played the sims by God why not everything else. But then boom i got tiger woods 02, well actually i borrowed it form a website(pirate) hey it was before i became honest and started buying games.(now i realize how hard that game makers work on the games and by downloading them illegally that im taking food out there babies mouths, or at least something to that fact) so anyway i play tiger 02 and it plays fine so im still like"only fools buy video cards". But then i go out and decide to actually buy tiger woods 04 (cuzz thats what is out by this time) and boom it happens, i can only run some of the features on the game. Could you imagine my face as i realize that all this time time i was a monkey in thinking that i needed not a video card. i was turely hurt. so i go out and get a geforce mx 400(which is the @$$ of all vid cards) and it made me happy for a bit, but it still couldnt handle tiger at its full beauty nor final fantasy. so then after awhile i go out and buy a ATI 9250(which i loved) it made games nice my tiger played perfect, my sism 2(got the upgrade just in time) and my guild wars.

well now i have a new pc(old one died god rest its soul) and i have a gtx 7800(this time i said to hell with it i went all out) and i can play every game like an animal now. but my question is this, i see all kinds of strange profiles and configs you can do to the card(in the nvidia settings) but i dont know what any of it means can someone drop me a line and let me know whats up with this stuff i mean is there a way to make my card kick even more @$$? thax for the help

remember, if it aint broke, dont fix it.

unless you are unhappy with something, dont mess around too much. maybe down the rroad yuo will want ot overclock or adjust the settings and optomizations, but right now if you are content, why bother with all the extra effort you know?

a few simple fixes are to use ntuner(i think that;'s what it;s called) to turn off anistrophic and trilinear filtering optomizations as well as lock the LOD to 1, but that's only required if you notice shimmering and will decrease performance a bit.

of course yyou can make up that perfromance by overclocking with coolbits 2.

otherwise, you'll be fine.
