hi all

i am planning on building a new gaming rig for myself and i am thinking about vid cards right now

i am really confused with nvidia because they dont make the card other ppl do.

So i really dont get why some are cost more than others etc.

Also I am thinking what would be faster/better 2 SLI 7800GT or 1 7800GTX?

I know there is an increase in heat, but im gunna have the stacker 830 case so im good in that regard

I'm probably going to build in the summer, but id like to have a handle on this

more $$ because of better cooling solutions, higher clock speeds, different layout than reference design, etc.

2x7800GT is much faster than 512mb GTX, let alone 256mb

7xxx actually run pretty cool all things considered, heat should not be an issue

if you are building in the summer, you would be wise to wait for G80 (8xxx series cards) to be released by nVidia
