Any opinions on whether this card will fall below 299 during the xmas shopping season? Newegg has a deal for it right now for 299 and I can't decide if I should jump on it or wait for better pricing.
 
You might as well just jump on it. IMO, it's not going to fall much more at all until a few months from now. You keep playing the waiting game, the refresh of cards will be among us, you won't want the "old" generation anymore, then you're waiting for the new cards to come down in price.
 
THe only CHANCE it has at dropping is the 512mb GTX pushing it down, but I doubt even that will have an effect. Check out tiger direct, they have a 3D Fuzion 7800GT for 289 (only1 yr warranty....)
 
You guys should have all bought yours when dell had the BFG 7800GT for $309-318 depending on coupons. I know I got mine for $318 back in August and loving in since!
 
ZipZoomFly has the xfx 7800gt oc for $299 after $40mir. Comes with far cry, moto gp 2, x2, and some other game. Also can get the call of duty 2 deal with this, but today is the last day. Free 2nd day!
