780 TI, slow down while playing Bf4

So I started playing battlefield again, and everything seemed to be running decent, but now 10-15 mins into a round the game gets choppy. I turned on the FPS and see it goes from high 70s dropping to 40s, and the ping is around 12.

I have a dell S2716DG, g-sync monitor with g-sync on for full screens. And the game was running very smooth.

I turned on MSI afterburner to see what has going on, an GPU usage went from a steady 98% to randomly spiking up and down,

any ideas?

Any particular map this happens on? My FPS randomly gets chopped in half on Lancang Dam for some reason, so you aren't alone with these issues. And yes, it literally gets cut in half. I think my issue is related to SLI though on that map.

Yep, is it a particular map. Game makers like to throw one that totally saturates your system, and it looks like that's what is happening here.

As long as you are over 30 fps, don't sweat it. If you went form 70 to 10, that's weird.
