GIGABYTE Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 Video Card - $123.99 (w/ 10% off code "24HRSALE411E" & $20MIR) + Free Dirt3 game coupon + Free Shipping at Newegg.com, exp. 4/11

Priced more like they should be :)

Not as fast as a 6850, faster than 6770, all the new features of GCN - which includes low power consumption.

Note this guy is sporting a semi-serious OC (10% - 1100 mhz) on the core.

Hmmm...not so sure even with the overclock that it will beat the 6850, which it generally loses to pretty badly: http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/536?vs=539

The HD6850 is available for $120AR/FS/Code right now, so I'd say it's probably still the better deal: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814121419

Once the 7770 drops a bit more, I think it will become the clear winner compared to the 6850 and 460.

Sorry! I'll fix that - faster than a 6770 is what I should have said in that spot...

Thank you for catching and nicely pointing out my error :)

Now fixed, and I agree with your statements. It's a fairly good time to be looking for a decent video card :)

No worries. I think the 7770 is perfect for a gaming HTPC, and I'd even consider buying one, but given that it's about equal to my GTX460-768, which I bought for $123AR in Nov. 2010, I simply can't stomach the price.
