I am dropping from a XFX 7950 3gb to a HIS 7750 2gb because I want the 7950 in my Intel Build.

What differences will I notice?

You will see a significant performance and fps decrease.

Depending on which resolution you use and which games you play, you will most likely have to use medium-high settings on 7750 without AA/AF.

And that's with a 7770, which is more powerful. Roughly, I'd expect to halve your current in-game frame rates (or worse) at the same detail settings.

I would definitely expect the fps to more than halve. I went from a 7870 to a 7790 and that fps decrease in BF4 was roughly half at same settings. A 7750 is pretty much an entry level gaming card at best, while a 7950 is still a high end card.

Warning! 7750 with 2GB of memory comes with gddr3, which is a lot slower than 7750 1GB (GDDR5).

Get GDDR5 version!

I am planning to upgrade it back up in october to something extremely high end or get something even more high end for the intel and put the 7950 back into my AMD.

I don't know what gets better then 7950 for less then $250

You can't get any better than 7950 for less than $250 at this time. But, if you haven't purchased the 7750 2GB, I'd say you probably have some options.

I have $150 budget and I need a graphics card. The HIS 7750 is too big for my AMD build... :(

Performance wise at $150 budget you would be best off getting a used GTX 660 or Radeon 270/7870/7850 2GB. But if the 7750 is too big, I'm not sure any of the aforementioned cards would be any smaller...

Why is there 15 billion options for a graphics card.

OK SO JUST PICK ME THE BEST ONE FOR $250 OR LESS and 2 or 3gb. I give up trying to decided what is best.

If you are not in a hurry, I would wait till March when the new NV "Kepler" cards come out. Even if you don't want one it will probably help push down prices for other cards you might want.

If you are in a rush to get a card now, I would get a HD 7870 or 270X or GTX 760 all of which are in the $200-250 range. The GTX 760 is the fastest option among those three and is comparable to a HD7970's speed so it would actually be faster than a HD7950. http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/NVIDIA/GeForce_GTX_760/27.html

Yeah I am kinda am, as is I am going to have to go two week without my AMD build which has all my games and log in info and school work on it.

Does it matter what brand for the 760?

If your case is too small for the 7750, you might want to post what case your going to use before people recommend all kinds of other cards (which given your 250$ budget are unlikely to be any smaller)

7750 is too squaty for my case because of my crappy cable management options. 7950 I have is the perfect size, somehow but I am moving the 7950 to my Intel build, which will have no problems, it's a full tower.

I have a corsair c70 case.
