this is a long shot.

got the idea of three 27" 2560x1440.

currently have 7970-CF. gaming (bf3, crysis2, metro, cod, wow, sc2) with all the eye candy on. wondering if tri or quad can handle 7680x1440 resolution with a minimum frame rate 40fps?

cpu is an i7-3770k, 16gb ram, 128gbx2 ssd raid 0.

anyone attempted this? what were the results?

With all eye candy? I don't think so, if 6 series scaling is anything to go by. AMD don't give a damn about 4 gpus users because we're such a niche that they can spend the resources elsewhere. Unfortunately most games don't properly utilize 4 gpus

yes - with all the eye candy on. (with the 0.23mm dot pitch - perhap some filters can be off)

microcenter has an Auria EQ276W for just $400. although these are B rated panels. given microcenter's return policy - i will exchange as many times as it take locally to get 3 defect free panel.

so anyone attempt 7680x1440? what were your results? which video card and how many?

3x 1080 displays... maybe you stand a chance. However, I don't think you have a prayer at 3 x 1440. Way too many pixels.

There are quadfire reviews for 5760x1080. Look at those and then consider that 7680x1440 is 78% more pixels.
