763 Square Foot Apartment enough for two people?

I am moving in with my GF in a couple of months and we are looking at a 1 bedroom apartment that is 763 square feet. Is this big enough for two people to live comfortably?

depends on the people, how much stuff they have, and how organized they are. i saw some show where 2 people were living in a 350 sq ft apartment.

Well me and My wife started out in a 660 SF one BR place.... It was bearable for the first year, but it wasnt fun. As long as ya'll dont have alot of stuff (we did and we had to find clever ways to hide it) ya'll can do it for awhile. BTW we just moved into a 4 BR place and after that one BR we feel like we are in a mansion.

That should be fine.
When my husband and i (then BF/GF) lived together we lived in three apartments in that sq. footage range. We did have a good amount of stuff.. him electronics and me clothes... but it was fine.
If you have never lived with one another before, it will take some getting used to, but you should be fine. 🙂

I have a 1013 sq foot one bedroom and its comfortable for 2 but you have to skim down on the belongings

I wouldn't say comfortably... I live in a 960 sq ft apt with my fiancee and we still need room. We're comfy, but the closet is crammed and its a huge walk-in. We need a storage garage.

definitely. i have about 3 couple-friends who all live in aaprtments about that size. my GF and I are about to move into a 780sqft apartment (hopefully) and it is plenty big for the both of us. it has 2 huge walkin closets as well.

I agree with everyone else - depends on the people, how much stuff you got, how much time you'll spend there. I see people on HGTV saying a house is "Far too small" or "Doesn't nearly have enough room" when I think it looks palatial.

i say if you got a bed to share, couple couches, tv, etc. nothing huge like a trunk or big shelves... it should be fine. i dont see a problem with 2 people. nice n cozy

It sounds alright, but like someone else said... the floorplan and how that space is divided can make a difference.

I did for 2 years with my fiance a couple years ago. It was ~710 sq. ft. and ~60 of that was a walk-in closet in the bedroom. As we started to accumulate stuff it got a little tight, but for starting out it was ok. The neighborhood turned to crap though which is why we moved, oh and the tree that fell on the roof and resulting water that ruined the ceiling and walls had something to do with it too.

I survived six years total in two different rentals that were under 650sqft with my spouse and two kids (first 3 years with just one kid.) If you aren't trying to cram a huge amount of furniture in that apartment, it should work just fine.

Wife and I started out in 610sqft 1 br. apt. Not much room for anything else beside basic couch and tv and bed...and don't bother having more than 3 friends over all at once.
