Can I run a Athlon 750 along with a Duron 750 on an AMD760MP board? The reason is that I want to do is just rc5 cracking, the difference in cores doesnt matter much and I already have a athlon 750... the duron 750's are $27 and I thought I could get something for cheap to hold me over until the 1.2/3/4MP's get a bit cheaper...

Sorry I don't know the answer, but isn't your output big enough as it is ;) You'll pass me tomorrow btw.

I would think no, because the Mobo must check for cache size when it determines weather it's a Duron or Athlon, and that alone might make it not work.

But then again the MP chipset is based on technology that completely separates the processors from one another where bus speed and everything else goes. Give it a try, the worst that could happen is it won't boot or throws and error.

Again, the AMD implementation doesn't have the same requirements as the AMD solution (shared bus, etc.). From what we've all read, running different chips at different speeds *should* be possible.
