7600GT (vs. 6800gt)... apparently the way to go

I was gonna buy a used 6800gt for my budget comp... around $130 ... 400 clock, 1100 mem

Then I saw the 7600GT...
BFG $175
XFX $150 AR
EVGA KO $145 AR
EVGA CO $160 AR
PVY $150

Ok.. the 7600gt are clearly better than the 6800gt... but which brand is worth the money?... also whats the difference between the CO /KO in the EVGA models?

Also some people ont he boards are selling the 7800GT for $200ish is it worth the extra $40 for a 7800GT?

DO NOT GET A 7800GT UNLESS IT IS UNDER $230 OR SO!!

Instead get a 7900GT (better than 7800GTX) or X1800XT

Also eVGA is the way to go for 7600GTs, I have a KO, never had to RMA, awesome card plays HL2 and other games with full settings at 12 by 10

Usually one or the other is clocked higher out of box so you will be charged more for the KO or the CO than a normal EVGA card. For brands, I would probably go with the EVGA because of their trade up/good warranty but almost all brands will work similarly.

Yes, if you can, go for the 7800GT card if you can get one for ~$200. They're selling their cards for that price cause they probably want a 7900 or an x1900 card but they're still good cards, especially for that price.

For 220$ you will get X1800XT.
For around 200$ you will get X1800XL.

7600GT is better if not as good as the 6800GT. 7600GT should overall be a better choice. Go with 7600GT or higher. consider X1800GTO as well.

if you look on the fs/ft forums, i've seen x1800xls for as low as $165. 7600gt is a nice choice, because its pretty low power, and you can get them for $149 after rebates now (pny model at newegg anyway)

evga ko is faster than the co. i think its like 600core/1560 memory on the KO vs 580/1500 on the CO. that said, its really just pretested, you could probably get the same on the CO anyway. the KO though might come with a nicer heatsink, as i know one of the evga cards, has a bigger heatsink that also coveres the memory chips and the CO i know doesnt.
