7600gt to 7900GS worth it?

Thought about selling off my 7600GT for a 7900GS. I need a little more power until some budget DX10 cards come. But if its not worth it I don't want to bother. Some of the newer games like Company Of Heros and NWN2 are kicking my card around .

7900GT's are more then I want to spring for right now.

I jumped form a 7600gt to a 7900gs and I thought it was worth it.

7900GS = 7800GT
7900GT = 7800GTX
7950GT = lower clocked 7900GTX

i definitely think its worth it.

It is barely worth it, but not much. Both are very close to 6800 Ultra:

If you grab that 150.00$ 7900gs Best Buy deal and sell your 7600gt for 85.00$ ,.. Yea it's worth it. Give the 7900gs a little overclock and your set.

The 7900gs is 15/20% faster then the 7800gt and the 7600gt is 15/20% slower then the 7800gt. I Research actual Fps in games, not 3d mark and fill rate stuff.

Overall the 7900gs is 30% faster than the 7600gt. It's a good cheap upgrade.

Not really. Just save up and get something better later on. I've long since figured that even having the latest or near latest gpu, there will always be portions of games where the minimn framerate is much lower than the average, thus causing a sensation of jerkiness even if its from 100fps to 60.
