I have a computer with a 300 watt power supply with 19 amps if +12V.

Anyways, the 7600 GT recommends a 350 watt power supply with at least 18 amps of +12V.

I did some looking into and some people have said they got the 7600 GT to run on a 300 watt power supply. Anyways my question is since I have enough amps on the +12V, should the 7600GT run properly even though it is only rated at 300W?

Strange - for example, the Leadtek website says for their 7600GT that 22amps on 12V is required... I find it a little unusual that another company is saying only 18 amps then :/ I suppose it depends on what other components you have, and the card your replacing - if you current card uses a similar amount of power already then you'll be fine. It's a bit on the limit though.....

Well, you don't really REQUIRE so and so many amps; it's more about do you have that many amps available after all your other components are using up the amps. If you have an FX60 or something hooked up with a bunch of hard drives and other cards, even the 22A won't be enough. So it may or may not work depending on the rest of your load out.

I have had no problems with the following config (7600GT CO):

(Dell e510)
Pentium D 820
1 HDD
2GB RAM
stock 305W 12V 18A power supply

Running just fine for about a month now. So unless you are running an overclocked CPU, or a ton of hard disks, I think you will be just fine.

one last question, it won't hurt anything at least trying to run the card??? Basically could it possibly damage anything?
