I couldnt find a roundup comparing these cards.
Does 7600GS mod to 16 pipes or something?
What would you buy?
Take in mind that there is not much money to spend :p

thanks !

Neither of the two cards can be unlocked. The 7600gt is a good deal faster, so IMO it's well worth the extra $50-60 price difference.

7600GT is like double the power of the 7600GS. The choice *should* be clear.

The 7600GT is quite a success(or) to the 6600GT. On Neweg, it is the second most reviewed card (but reviews are nothing, sorta)

Not really comparable ... no question that the X1800XT is faster, but the 7600GT can be had for $80-$100 less then the 256mb version & the 512mb card is still selling for +/- $300... the X1800GTO on the other hand might be a fair comparision, but it still costs more.

Apparently, the new rivatuner infact proved G73 cores has a extra quad hidden, making it a 4 quad design rather than 3 that we were led to belive with. Although unlocking the pipelines is not possible.

Lets see, Lots of 7600GT reviews.

The leadtek's 7600GT has a different cooler (and quite better) compared to the stock GT cooler.

7600GTs are quite fast for a mainstream graphics card and rightly so is carrying on the legend forged by the release of the 6600GT.

nvidia's newly rleased 7300 gt decimates the old 6600 gt.And the best part is tha it costs around the price of the radeon x1300 pro.
Anyway thats off-topic.The radeon x1800 gto and the 7600 gt are comparable. The radeon x1800 gto are similarly priced and perform better when AA and AF are applied.Bt in some games they just lack performance.
ATI are really struggling with their mid-range and low end gpus.(i miss the x800 gto2)
