I currently have a single 8800GTX card with a 750w power supply (and an Intel QX6850 processor). Will the 750w supply be enough to upgrade to two cards with SLI, or should I just stick with a single card configurations? Thanks,

Ben

Absolutely. However, wattage isn't the main concern... it's amperage. How many amps are on your PSU's +12V rail(s)? If it is a higher quality PSU, you should have absolutely no problem powering up two 8800GTX's.

As far as I know, 8800GTX's only pull about ~200w's or so under max load. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah, what is the brand/model of your PSU? Some PSU's may have the wattage, but crappy amperage. But like JimiP said, 750W should be fine.

Thanks for the replies. It's an OEM power supply, and the specification lists the unit at 60 amps. Will that be enough? Thanks again,

Ben

With a 22" Monitor it is a waste of money..... to go SLI.... only at extended resolutions is SLI of any advantage.

Well, it seems like for games that are coming out these days (e.g., Crysis), 1680x1050 is an extended resolution. But I see your point.

Def looks fine.. SLI away.. but yeah.. you are sort of on the edge of it being worth it on a 22.. you may see a bit of improvement but its really 1920+ where the gap really starts...

Not to get too off track, but do you have any relation to aigomorla? He's a very knowledgeable guy for watercooling. Or are you aigomorla?
