Hi,

I'm looking at getting a 750ti card as it's low power consumption & noise are particularly attractive to my needs. Any suggestions on a particular card. Seeing that the 750ti isn't very powerful I'd like to go for an overclocked one (or an overclockable one at least). Got my eyes on the EVGA or the MSI Twin Frozr at the moment.

thanks

Just get a regular one and use MSI Afterburner to OC it. 99% success rate, I've seen plenty of 1250MHz+ overclocks. :)

If you intend to overclock, it might be worth it to get a model with an additional 6-pin connector, this might provide a bit higher OC headroom. EVGA even makes a model with a guaranteed 1189/1268MHz OC (with a 6-pin requirement)...

Depends slightly on how much near silence matters. That might depend on the rest of your machine, because none of these things are noisy by graphics card standards, but some seem noisier at idle than others etc.
(Quite a few seem not to slow their fans down enough, even when no objective need to keep them running hard.).

Fairly sure I've got one of the twin frozr's which is definitely quiet. A premium for the cooler though. Drove me to switching my CPU cooler from stock to something quieter too, etc.

Passive would be quietest and should be almost in range, but not yet for some reason, unless feeling very experimental:

Thanks for the advice guys. In the end I went for the Asus one as I found a decent deal on that and also because GTA 5 will be coming in the autumn I will need to upgrade for that anyway.
