Looking at that card, it has DVI-I, DVI-D, DP, and HDMI, and twin cooling fans. However, it also has a 6-pin. Seeing as how that it is not required on most 750ti cards, do you think the card would function (possibly at reduced clocks) without the 6-pin plugged in?

Or is there an unwritten rule that if a card has supplemental power connectors, that they MUST be plugged in, all of them?

I figure that perhaps some of the dual-fan 750ti models have 6-pins in case you want to OC.

If you are referring to the OC edition, it requires the 6 pin to be connected if I remember correctly.

(Sorry your link doesn't work for me)

Yup. Usually failure to do so will result in the PC being unable to post. Though I've seen some cards start in a "low-power" mode, which needless to say has terrible performance.

EVGA makes 750TI's with DisplayPort that doesn't require 6-pin.

A quick look at the EVGA page revealed that their pre-OC'd 750TI FTW requires 85W to reach 1189/1268MHz, so that's properly why. :)
