the deal is legit, you sign up and get approved for their platinum visa, they give you cash. of course you'll prolly end up using the darn thing and they'll make the money back in interest in no time these days! Remember this visa like nextcard requires Excellent credit, not good, nor okay, nor NO credit. you're wasting your time, and will be denied if you dont have flawless credit. You'll also place a inquiry (which looks bad, when you dont get the card but have an inquiry from the bank). on your credit file for quite a while. Once you get too many credit inquiries, you'll get denied for credit based on that # of inquiries because it looks like your hurting for credit and thats a high risk situation. I suggest you guys read board.creditnet.com 's message board if you are not totally confident about your credit rating (ie if you have 2-3 low balance high limit visa/mc's you'll probably qualify for this card). Also cards nowadays have ridiculous "After introductory rates". 9.9%-11% is a good rate these days, many of these places jump to 14-19% after the first six months and start socking it to you in interest VERY fast.
