Aren't the deals better on Small Biz any way even after this $100. I never seem to be able to configure a computer cheap on the Home side. I tried configuiring a P4 2.53 w/ 18" LCD and it was $150 more after coupon

Does not work with 2 systems that are less than $1000 each :(

To make this work and a good deal one's gotta add something, ideally an LCD (see below) and also want(/need??) a DVD burner.

Good deal though since they are currently throwing in a DVD burner and 256MB memory you can get a system with MS-Works for $753 shipped.

Now processor upgrades are way more expensive than on the business side (+$100 for 2.66 vs. $20 on SB) BUT LCDs are more reasonable. Add a 15 " ultrasharp ($260 vs 350 at SB) or a 17"LCD ($320 vs $450!!!!) and you can get a very decent system with LCD for $1013 (voila) or $ 1073 (with 17" LCD - hey now) - $100 (katchinggg...)

Actually small business is usually more expensive...Especially when you are required to tack on sales tax in all states!

To qualify for the $100, as I have mentioned, each system would have to be $999 or more...

Thanks, gave it to a friend today. It was perfect because he had customized a laptop for about $900 anyway, so in essence he got to add $100 worth of upgrades for free.

Another favor in the favor bank :D

Intel acknowledged earlier this week that there were isolated problems with the new 800MHz CPUs (AFAIK no further details were released) and thus put the roll-out on hold, until they have resolved whatever is wrong. Therefore no 8300 until Intel has figured out what's going on.

I would go through home and avoid sales tax which is significant and required on ALL small business orders. Either go through home or go through Dell Outlet which is part of home...
