Just picked up the Magna Electroshock for $21 at the Love Field Target in Dallas. It was the last one. THey did still have a lot of the camping gear, golfballs, and dart boards left though.

I happened to be returning something at Target this weekend and saw a recall notice by the service desk for the Magna Electroshock bike. Something about the fork being welded wrong and might fall off. I think it was only for bikes manufactured last year, but you may want to check it out...unless you are into extreme sports.

The recall isn't on all Magna's, it's only for bikes made within a specific time frame.

Thank you Carmann, I got the last Concord at my Target for $39. I can't believe it, but the rack that I bought is more expensive than the bike :D . I probably return the rack, it does not feel safe when driving. Could anybody tell me what the best rack to put the bike on? Thanks in advance

Just picked up a Magna Electroshock for $24. Recall was on bikes manufactured July - October '99. Mfg date is located on a sticker on the frame just above the crank. Mine was mfg'd in '00.

All gone in Omaha . . . Haven't checked council bluffs IA yet, if someone has let me know. been going around to the super targets and regular ones. No dartboards or bikes, damn! Asked one of the sales reps if they had any of the specific bikes in the back and he said they went on clearance a while back and they're all gone :-( poo.

p0ntif, the Magna's and Concorde that I posted just went 75% off last Thursday. Some stores marked them down 2 weeks ago. Last Oct, they did clear out a bunch of other Magna Electoshocks and the men's Pacific Scorpio to make room for the bikes that they sold for X-mas.

Just keep checking and DON'T LISTEN TO THE EMPLOYEES! You'ld be surprised what's hanging around the stock rooms that they don't even know about.

Is the Concord bike better than the Magna?

Also, I just bought a Magna a few weeks ago for $100+...does Target have a "pricematching" policy, or do I have to go through the trouble of returning and re-buying?

Shaady, if you bought one of the Magna Electroshock's, you can take your receipt in and and explain to them that you paid full price for the bike and now they put them on clearance and you would like the difference back. Keep in mind that this only applies if you bought an Electroshock. They might do it for you. If they tell you they don't give back the difference on previously purchased clearance items, make it clear to them that you did not purchase the bike on clearance.

Went to 3 targets today in search of some of the bargains posted here and in other forums. Pretty slim pickings in the DFW area unfortunately... Saw a Magna Electroshock bike hanging from the ceiling but it was a 20" girls bike, not a 24 or 26 and when scanned it came up $79.99 but was marked $99.99, not a bargain. No other electroshocks or concords found at all and the "sport" bikes in the grey box were $39xx. Also went hunting for the solar lights for $11.24 but no joy. Was able to get 2 bags full of Michael Graves designer outlet plates, switchplates, and drawer knobs for $.70-$1.20 and some cheapo xhileration jewelry for my kids at $.64-$1.24. Granola bar 3 pack (30 bars) was $4.96. They had one GE spacesaver am/fm/cd but it was a very dirty display model and it was clearanced @ $19.94. Tekk 2-way radios scanned normal price, as did the Homedics goodies, clorox was not $.30 and the crest toothpaste was not $.24, no dartboards at all but plenty of the tasco telescopes are left, might jump on one these on payday if any are left. Anyone else in DFW able to score some of the solar lights?

Just an update that at least my local Targets have some great deals on golf stuff. I've looked at 3 local Targets. Two of them were at 50% off, one was at 75% off. Although try scanning the items to make sure. At one of the stores where everything was only marked down 50%, I scanned several Nike clubs and one of them actually came up at 75% off.

I picked up the following items:
A full set (driver, 3w, 5w, hybrid 3i, 4-PW, stand bag) of John Daly clubs (reg: $150, sale: $37). I think these are made by Dunlop and while they aren't high quality clubs, they are a heck of a deal for that price.
Adams GT3 driver (reg: $100, sale: $25)
Wilson T7 driver (reg: $60, sale: $15)
Wilson T7 3-wood (reg: $50, sale: $12)
Wilson T7 putter(reg: $25, sale: $6)
An assortment of Nike golf clubs (reg price: $30-$40 each, sale: $7-$10 each). These are really nice high quality clubs for kids and they come in 3 sizes that fit my kids from age 6 to 11.
Nike kid's golf bags in different sizes (regular price around $40-$50, all 75% off)
A bunch of Nike, Callaway, and TaylorMade gloves all for $2-$3 each.
Nike golf towels for like $2.50.

Nice deal on the gloves.

wtf??
Do HD threads not get archived?
I didn't even look at the date. I did a search on Target and this was the first thread that came up. Since my local Targets are having 75% off on a number of sporting goods items, I assumed that's what the thread was about. :)

At first I looked at the date and saw "2/15" and thought "WTF?"... then I looked at the year... 2001, not 2007... wow.

NOBODY can say that DT4K doesn't search before posting now.

Hahaha, I actually went to my Target! There was a lot of golf stuff on clearance, but no balls :(

There were individual clubs for $2 or $3, but the selection had really been picked over. There were really only a couple of wedges left. I've got a nice set of Pings that I got when my dad upgraded, so no reason for me to get any of those.
