lol, it's kind of funny - most of the people who are buying the "info" probably won't even be able to test drive a Mercedes. (A lot of luxury car dealerships require a certain income even to test drive)

I didn't know about that. I thought it was more like if you looked like you could afford a mercedes. Ofcourse it's their business and their property, they can refuse service to anyone.

Go try and test drive a Porsche 911 Turbo sometime...watch as the whole dealership points and laughs at you. Ok maybe a bad example, but if your going to be test driving a luxury car, a lot of those dealerships will want to know that you can actually afford to purchase it, and you're not just doing it for the hell of it.

well, its not a certain income level, but you have to look like you could buy a mercedes, or like your parents or trust fund would buy you one. (dress like a yuppie, you shouldnt have any problems)

they dont run your credit just to offer you a test drive...

edit:
sports cars/exotics (911 turbo, etc.) are different, because often there is not a "demo model" per se - and the customer is only allowed to drive it after all the paperwork is filled out, waiting to be signed and delivered.

also, dont forget, there is now the (disgusting) c-class coupe, so mercedes are within the reach of a lot more people than they used to be...
