the cpu is a e4300 at 3.27ghz on a 360mhz FSB

i see a lot of people with scores of like 12,000. I'm wondering if my score is right, this is the first time i've ever ran a 3dmark benchmark.

It's pretty close to the mark, my old Sapphire X1950Pro would barely break 6000 with a 3.33ghz E4300 (using a Asrock 4coredual VSTA mobo) , my current 2900XT setup manages little better than 12000.

don't take 3Dmark too seriously, it really only useful in determining how an upgraded component (mainly video card and cpu) affects the performance of a system...and even then it's results are usually meaningless to real world performance.

yeah i've noticed that. i hear stories of people with 8800gtx's and quad core core 2's saying they cant get but 20 fps in crysis on very high. Well im sure with $1200 worth of hardware like that, if you choose to run it on dx10 in vista with crytek's built in options for the c_vars, then its possible. I run crysis at about 50 fps at 1024x768 on "very high" DX9 using the hacked c_vars in windows xp 32bit. and thats a x1950xt with 7k 3dmarks. :)
