I didn't read too far into what you quoted. Are you talking about one specific Mexican or are your talking about most of Mexico? Many/most Mexicans are of European decent.

To some extent it is hard to separate out the blood of the European, I agree... but there are still 'pure' Apache groups in Mexico and I can't tell the difference and guess I don't try to.

Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo in 1848 is a treaty that provided for the land holdings of the Mexican in the now US property to be honored... they were not and still are not... but that is the law as it was written... so either it prevails or not... my problem with that is I can't determine the law as it relates to the heirs of these land holders... but, it don't convey citizenship in either event but imo does make being here legal...

The balance of my thesis is to do with the treaties we entered into with the various Indian Tribes under duress... They were forced into a treaty... and as you'd know... that is a voidable contract... IF they void that agreement what does that mean under law... who owns what and since many moved to Mexico can they return under that law provision and be here legally and does any of this provide citizenship?... It just is not clear to me... and I've read it... of course so have the courts and the Dept of Interior (in charge of all the out doors - so that gives a clue as to their brain power).

IOW, we need sorting out some of the details and then go about enforcing law... who is legal but not a citizen and etc...

The other side effect of this anchor baby BS is that smaller hospitals are simply shutting down their OB depts.

The patients don't pay their bills, the hospitals lose their ass, the locals that depend on the hospital are fucked and have to drive to larger hospitals, I know of 1/2 dozen smaller hospitals in the Dallas/Ft/ Worth area that have shut down their OB units now...

Next to go are the ER's in the smaller hospitals, they're going to turn into surgery centers so they can turn away patients without insurance...

Illegal immigration, fuck yeah...

My tax money pays for their freaking hospital visit, via Medicaid. That includes the baby delivery, and any other medical service they conveniently chose to get in the ER. You haven't even began to debunk anything, merely trying to sweep the issue under the rug.

I was debunking the false statement that they pay no taxes. And furthermore, I would guess that they're no more a drain than other poor citizens are. It seems like they're a much more convenient scapegoat for our existing problems.

I'd find enjoyment with just looking at her... but then you're probably younger than I and think more in terms of procreation... hehehehehhehehe():)

I don't mind just looking at her either, but I'd much rather procreate with her.

Whoopdee fucking do. They dont even come close to paying in taxes for what they receive through social services and education for their 8 kids.

And the difference between illegals and other poor people, is the illegals have no right to be here. Big difference pal

The big differernce is that they are an unnneed drain and should not be here to be a drain.

I stand by my assertion that they're a scapegoat. Nobody cares about the issue when everyone else is doing well. Now it's all about "dey took errr jerrrbs!" As if the legal residents/citizens sitting on unemployment for 99 weeks are clamoring to pick strawberries or mow lawns.

??? nobody cares when everyone is doing well? This has been an issue since I've been born, 1985, every year I've heard something about it. That goes against what you just said. Moron.

How many states were passing "OMG WE'RE BEING INVADED!!!" laws ten or fifteen years ago? Oh that's right, none.

Everyone's freaking out because they're looking for someone to blame for their problems. And since they lack the maturity to blame themselves, they go for the weakest target.

Moron.

That doesn't mean it wasn't an issue dumbass. You said NO ONE CARES, which is patently FALSE, until things are bad. That is an incorrect statement, people care, no one with the power to do so wanted to do anything about it.

Of course he won't remember that. He's only 15. That happened before he was born.

I wonder what this looks like from a mexican perspective. You jump a border to enter a strange country. The people there don't really like you and they think you're garbage, but at the same time they give you free school and free emergency medical care. They want illegal immigration to stop but they do nothing to stop it.

Canada is equally retarded. When a boat full of random Chinese people land, the government doesn't tell them to go away. They are accepted into the country with no identification and no questions asked. Politicians fake interest in the matter by visiting China and asking the Chinese government to prevent its people from escaping in the first place.

Well... The year my first grandson was born ('84) I seem to recall marches with Chavez seeking better wages for the crop picker and if I recall correctly it was common place for folks to line up to do 'day labor' because no one else would perform such tasks. There was no real issue back then that comes to mind... Folks started getting 'busted' for hiring non green card folks to do house cleaning and Nanny services.. mainly in the political arena and probably because the 'owners' didn't withhold tax or SSI etc..
What I do recall is that many of the folks who were working in somewhat normal jobs did pay taxes and SSI for which they never got the benefit...
I guess that has changed with more enforcement upon the hiring aspects... but still, there was little noise about being overrun by aliens (other than area 51 folks :sneaky:) that reached my ears.

You people won't let go will you? I've said there always was a group of people that cared. But you act like the overall level of interest now is the same as it's always been, which is quite obviously false.

I know it's been an issue. But more like "wow, interest rates went up" or "wow, the Mets are in the World Series". Certainly not the current hyperbole. "OMG, we're being invaded! Deploy the Marines along the entire border and line it with artillery and minefields and fill the Rio Grande with piranhas and giant crocodiles before we all DIIIIEEEEEEEE!!!1111!!11!"

It was never a big deal like it is now where have you lived the last 20 years? What about Proposition 187 “Save Our State initiative” that passed in CA in 1994.
