As usual everybody wants to bitch about the symptoms while ignoring the root cause of the problem :(

It's really pretty simple, if you want to stop illegal imigration institute HARSH penalties for anyone caught employing illegals and ruthlessly hunt down and prosecute offenders.

Problem is some of the richest most influencial people in this country profit from illegals and have no desire to address the problem. Any other proposal to solve illegal immigration (troops on the border, harsher treatment for illegals, fences, etc...) is disengenious and nothing more than political grand standing.

Eliminate their reason for coming here, nothing else will work PERIOD.

There have been posts referring to abortion and compassion for humans fleeing poverty. The most obscene thing a man and woman can do is plan a pregnancy to exploit the birth for economic reasons.

Do these people have any idea what diapers and formula do to the family budget? The next time you are at a grocery store take a look at the prices of baby supplies.

Child of Wonder is right as far as he goes, but the point I'm trying to make is different.

We actually have people coming into this country from all over the world just to dop a baby and then be able to claim American citizenship for it and to be ablle to be here legally. As far as I'm aware no ther country allows this? If so someone please enlighten me as to what countries do allow it??

Correct, as far as I know Western Europe does not allow the same practice. But you seem to be putting the horse before the cart...no one would come here to have babies if there were not employers willing to hire them.

As a small business owner in an industry that competes head to head with firms who illegally use undocumented workers, I'd like to see some fucking enforcement of labor laws.

As long as hunting down, and fining employers of illegals is done in conjunction from eliminating illegals from the social service coffers also I agree.

Actually many people DO come here just to have a baby and then go home.

Their child has dual citizenship and can come back to the US as a legal citizen and bring his immediate family with him. It's been going on for years due to our poorly worded 14th amendment.

It doesn't take too much imagination to take the position that since the Mother was not a US citizen and was here illegally when she had the baby that said baby is here illegally as well.

If you're in the country illegally OR are not a citizen then your baby shouldn't automatically get citizenship. Seems like nothing but plain old common sense to me.

It actually takes quite a bit of imagination since that's the exact opposite of what section one of the fourteenth amendment says. But I guess the authors of the fourteenth amendment lack the "common sense" that modern internet denizens seem to possess.

Yet your common sense fails you when it comes to other amendments you dont like.

Without someone who lives here becoming a citizen you create a perpetual under-class, something we've generally agreed is a bad thing since reconstruction.

Fuck them. They are here illegally. If they can't take the legal route to become citizens like millions of other people from more impoverished countries from the other side of the world, then they don't need to be here.

The problem is, as those that live in border states know. When they come here, they don't change their ways. They want to keep living like they are in Mexico. They keep the same habits (IE throwing used toilet paper in the corner of the bathroom). Speaking Spanish and getting pissy because No Habla Espanol. And the thing that pisses me off the most is that they wave their mexican flags and claim their Mexican pride. If you have so much pride in your country ( a shit hole) WHY THE F DID YOU LEAVE IT?

Back when the 14th amendment was passed things were a little different. You couldn't fly across the atlantic in a matter of hours. But like I said, don't let common sense come into play, it might confuse your puny little brain.

This has always confounded me too. So much talk about "taking America back", and how great Mexico is, yet the entire reason they are here is because there's no work in their country, it's corrupt top to bottom, and just generally sucks.

Here's comes the crying about how when the second was written there were no machine guns (even though it has nothing to do with why the second was written and it's purpose).

Not to mention machine guns are illegal unless you are a class III FFL

They mooch off taxpayer's money and don't make the slightest effort to change their lifestyles. To make things worse, they go and have babies by the dozen in dumpsters.

Um, if they go and have babies by the dozen in dumpsters, where are those 75% number coming from? Are there dumpsters in the delivery rooms of Texas hospitals?

And rather than "making things worse," don't you and your ilk think dumpsters are the second best place (after the country of origin) where illegals should be having their babies?

And there were no islamic terrorists attacking us in 1791, so the 4th through 8th should be outright repealed.

Illegal mums? There is a law on mums in the US?

What if a UK woman were to give birth there? Would that be an illegal mum giving an illegal birth?

What would they do? I kinda need to know these things so i don't bring an illegal mum over to the US when i'm passing through the shithole you call a nation.

Most illegals immigrate to find work, which they then perform for starvation wages.

The economic benefit goes largely to the employer, and the government gets screwed for taxes, but the individual is still productive in a 'net' sort of sense.

Put it this way:

Why do you suppose that all the wealthy, business-owning sorts who find themselves high-up in government refuse to take any meaningful steps to slow down illegal immigration?

There's a really simple answer, and it isn't because they are charitable.

If you enter the United States illegally you are here illegally. There is no illegal birth, just the birth of an American citizen to an Illegal immigrant. JoS you're above such retarded posts, I expect more from you.

BTW, does anyone else find it funny that the same people that defend illegal immigration and illegal immigrants are the same people that will be like "BUT LOOK AT SO AND SO THEY DON'T HAVE GUNS!" or "LOOK AT SO AND SO THEY HAVE SOCIALIZED MEDICINE AND IT WORKS!" yet if you point to any one of those nations they would not be able to say "LOOK THEY HAVE AN ILLEGAL PROBLEM AND IT WORKS!" because no other country on the planet concedes what we do to invaders.
