Just got an email from Minidisco.com:

ALL RIGHT... For ONE WEEK ONLY, here's where to find the SPECIAL SECRET
ORDER PAGE where you can buy Minidisco brand MDS for just $1.39 each:

Visit our web site (http://www.minidisco.com) by MIDNIGHT on January 12,
2001. Click on the yellow MiniDisc Tab, and scroll down the MiniDisc order
page until you see the PINK Minidisco Robot. Click on the Pink Robot, and
VOILA! You'll be taken to the SPECIAL SECRET page for purchasing our
Minidisco brand 74 minute MDs for just $1.39 each!

Shipping was $6.95 for UPS 3-Day Select, $7.95 for UPS 2nd Day.

Pretty decent deal, works out to roughly $2.00 per disc after shipping, if you only buy 1 10 Pack, $1.73 per Minidisc if you buy 20.

i hate minidisc u actually hafta sit there and record it physically at like 4x MAX, i'd much rather just burn cds at 8x, we had a minidisc player/recorder b4, got it as a present, then the damn thing just broke, oh well

Oh well, I like the minidisc format. Just because its really easy to carry around a few discs with your favorite music on it. And its really great for live recordings at concerts too. Sound quality in my opinion seems better than an MP3 Player (at least the Rio 500) ... And media is much cheaper than an MP3 player. Obviously CDs are much cheaper, but not nearly as versatile. I can record a track on a minidisc, delete it, and then replace it with another, which I can't do with a CD... Although I do make lots of Audio Mix CDs too.
