7300GS vs 7600GS

Well, do you want to play 3D games or not? If yes, get the 7600GS, if you're just after a card to provide output to a monitor (for office or DVD playback) or you only play The Sims, then get a 7300GS - the difference in 3D performance is huge!!!

Also, all 7300 GS seems to have mandatory "Turbocache", which reserves part of the system memory for the videocard, thus reducing the memory available to the system.

For about a $ 45 price difference, it seems worth it to step up to the 7600 GS.

7300 GS is a valid choice if you have no interest in playing recent games, as it is perfectly able to drive hi-rez monitors in 2-D applications.

i would get the 7600GS it is WAAY faster. considering it has 12 pipes instead of 4 pipes and much faster ram.

its about $100 too, its just not worth the $40 difference. even a 7300GT is a better choice than the GS.

The 7600GS at default is about 60-75% as fast as a 6800GS in most games, but overclocked it will match the 6800's performance so its the way to go for sure.
