Find me a definition where "pitch" = soccer field. Having played soccer for 8 years, I have never called nor heard anyone call it a "pitch".

Yeah people need to stop using pitch as a word for field. Pitch is an action, field is a surface, which one makes more sense?

You people need to stop using foot as a measure of length/distance. :sneaky:
Soccer fans are scum the world over. It's a good thing nobody in the US really cares about it.

For as brutal and violent as America is supposed to be, I cannot remember a professional sporting event that ended in a mass murder.
I can think of only one time where they had to call in armed security... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OxsHXuM6ah0
LOL, this is amusing... be ready, soccer is starting to really take hold in the US. Some places it is more popular that football or baseball... GASP... Communists they must be right?
Uhh... 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta?! The bombing?! I wonder if security guard and hero Richard Jewell was armed.

what places in the US is soccer more popular than football? i want links to evidence too.
The Olympics is not a professional sporting event (yes splitting hairs I know). Also the 2 people that died (not mass murder) were killed by a single terrorist on a mission, not by the impromptu decision of thousands of normal civilians to go on a head-stomping victory celebration and kill as many as possible because their team won a soccer game. Whatever happened to Tebowing!
On the other hand, deadly riots occur somewhat frequently at soccer matches, and what happened in Egypt doesn't even seem out of the ordinary. Just another soccer match.

In the city where they usually win fuck all except in Football
If i'm not mistaken before they started to use protective gear 11 people died in College American football in one season. Is this correct
Washington, Chicago, L.A....
I guess LA might be right, since there is no football team there![]()
