Seriously, you'd think at least ONE of them would have something decent on.

I make myself a nice dinner, sit down in front of the tv and settle in for some tube watching. The directory channel goes through it's thing and I think, "Hmmm. Nothing on. Maybe I just missed something." So I watch it again. Oh, there's a Perry Mason movie on. Cool. I turn it to that channel and Perry Mason is talking to this chick. She introduces Perry to her boyfriend played by.... David Hasslehof. Great. That movie is ruined. So here I am...

Me too... there are like 5-6 different Discovery Channels... always something good to choose from. And half a dozen history channels too.

Around 300 channels here and there's not much to watch. Discovery Health channel is currently providing entertainment, though that won't last.

And you can't forget the Travel Channel and Food Network! My only gripe is The Discovery Channel is always showing either something on forensics or trauma centers (neither of which interest me in the least) and TLC always has on some kind of home decorating show.

ehh. discovery is overrated. They play the same sh@t over and over (especially noticeable when you tire of whatever mindnumbing sitcoms run these days). After much pestering from my GF I hooked up a tv at the new digs (3 months of happiness had to come to an end I suppose). Still boring as shiznit. I'd rather download some divx. Seriously though, even with the full array of cable offerings (courtesy of my roomies decrypter) there's nada to watch. Cable porn is unbelievably boring, and the vast majority of "premium" channels suck as much or more than the standard fare.

*uck*

get that tv out of there man.

1000 channels? Really? Seems a bit high... So does the 500 channels come to think of it... I just got Direct TV and I have like maybe 150ish, not counting PPV.

350 channels (about 700 counting all the music and other crap) and 7/10 times there's nothing on that I want to watch. (Dish Network + Dish 500)

I have about 400 channels with DTV... and about another 100 channels with Rogers (Canadian cable).

There's almost always something on one of the channels I watch: ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN Classic, Fox Sports, TLC, Discovery Channel, Comedy Central, and sometimes MTV or VH1.
