shot this over the weekend for sh*ts and giggles on my panasonic zs3, from the middle of a dark and jumpy mosh pit. Very impressed with the look of the footage and the zoom lens mixed with the stabilizer, especially considering the shooting location.

Apologize for the fx, I was learning AVCHD workflow in FCP (not as straight forward as you'd think!)

I think that turned out pretty awesome.

Thanks! I was concerned about the streaking (bright lights), but I think it actually can be turned into a positive. Much better than say a flip hd and, honestly, I think the overall image quality and image stabilization (keep in mind people where shoving me at the show, it was pretty intense) quality makes my full sized canon hv30 camcorder old fashioned, all for $275 (a steal considering it's a fantastic wide zoom digital still camera as well). My next video camera will def. be a digital slr with 1080p, the technology's there and I didn't notice any jelly vision, etc.

Work flow took a little research to get going - AVCHD can't just be dropped onto a timeline in Final Cut Pro and I foolishly spent hours trying to convert the avchd to a fcp native format. The simple solution was to use the LOG AND TRANSFER MENU (vs the LOG AND CAPTURE menu which is used for analog or digital tape). Hope that saves someone some time :)

Looks pretty good to me. Came out better than I thought it would - iwas kinda expecting dark, bright light, and nothing being visible.

There wasn't any "jelly vision" because your ZS3 has a CCD sensor. Any modern DSLR that shoots video uses CMOS. If you shot that concert handheld with a Canon T2i or Nikon D5000, the jelly vision would have been extremely noticeable.
