Yes, there are $72k watches. There are also $300k cars and $10m houses. For some people, this watch is a drop in the bucket.

Omegas are nice high end watches for middle to upper class incomes, but for people who make 7-8 figures a year (or more), an Omega isn't going to cut it.

I'm not saying I support this kind of behavior, but the simple fact is that even if you don't like to be a big spender, you have to "look" and "play" the part if you're going to be taken seriously in certain circles. How many Fortune 500 execs do you think drive Honda Accords?

It's a concept some of you may have a hard time understanding as this watch is probably the equivalent of your yearly salary.

And Patek Phillipe is one of the most highly regarded watch companies in the world. This gold automatic watch is as much a status symbol for people in certain circles as a luxery car would be to a lay man.

true enough. not being ABLE to purchase a watch places one in a completely different perspective from one who prefers NOT to purchase a watch. don't cloud your own thinking by relating the latter directly to the former.

meh it looks like any cheap watch out there though. i can see how some other more unique watches cost a bit more.. like that one with gears linked with rubber belts and stuff..forget who made it. but atlesat it was a unique/clever/cool looking design. this ones just about burning money
