Hi,

I recently got a dell 700m through that awesome deal(750 off 1500). When i got my notebook i notice that the left mouse button was really loose, way looser than the right mouse button. It this a defect should i send in notebook to get this fixed?

any advice is appreciated. If you just got a 700m, could you please make a post saying if your left mouse button is loose and your thoughts on the 700m.

thanks

I've read of this issue in some of the reviews and was expecting mine to be loose too. However, it isn't. If I were you, I'd probably call Dell to see if they'll replace it.

Overall, I'm thrilled with my 700m. The build quality is much better than I expected and the screen is gorgeous. It's quiet, cool and fast and the extended battery lasts 5+ hours. With the regular battery it's reasonably light (I was originally shopping for something around 3lbs, but couldn't pass up this deal on the 700m).

The only complaints I have are minor -- the comma, period and slash buttons are too small; and the power cable's plug is huge -- annoying if you use it on your lap while plugged in.

if its really bugging you and you dont mind waiting a couple weeks for dell to fix it, then send it in to dell. But if you dont want to wait, you could always use a USB mouse.
