Hi
Not sure if anyone has any ideas why this is happening. I replaced my 600e that was running at 800 (6x 133) on my BX board (Asus P3BF) with a voodoo 3 3000 agp and Mushkin High perf 2. It ran stable for over a month before I decided to get a 700e.
I bought a 700e Retail with the CbO stepping. I booted up at 933 and it ran stable for hours, cpu temp around 39c The problem is, when I know try to run the game Unreal Tournament, I get an error from Unreal and the game wont start. Its not a Windows error. The computer goes back to Windows and runs stablilty. I tried to reinstall the game, bump up the voltage, change the Cas settings but still get the error. If I go back to 700 it runs great, or if I put back the 600 @ 800 its fine.
Is it maybe that I am pushing the 700 too much by o.c.ing it by 233 mhz whereas the 600 is overclocked by 200 mhz ?

Yep. Try running Prime 95 and I bet it'll come up with errors.

Windows ignores thousands of processor errors all the time, but the occasional program sticks its hand up and says "oi! no, I will not run on this piece of sh1t".

I get this in rally championship which is fine if I back down to 950MHz.

You should try some better cooling, an alpha or possilbly a peltier. Otherwise you should just accept that your 700e isn't that great and run it at a lower speed.

Awesome thanks go to NOX. Searched and found one link in CNET. Was not sure it was the right item. The one I found said it was a set of tools to use with Word. I don't have Word on this computer.
