7000 RPM Fan needed?

I've seen a review or two that suggests much better cooling if you replace the stock fan of the Taisol CGK742092 with a 7000 RPM one. If this is true... where can I get one and how do I know it will fit? Has anyone here replaced their stock fan with a 7k? Thanx in advance,

one version of the 742 cgk has a 7000rpm fan, so i'd assume it'd work. those fans are insanely loud though. a 27cfm ystech or something is like 10 decibels lower

I have the CGK742 and I replaced the fan with a Delta 7k rpm fan. It dropped my temps nearly 10C!

But it was VERY VERY loud and I just couldn't live with it.

One more question. I'm currently using a FOP-32 (I think that's it) but my temps easily sore to 50C with moderate usage. That was the reason for getting the Taisol CGK742092. The 50C is with very light oc'ing (900 Tbird at 1050ish) at default voltages. I only used the original thermal pad that was on the heat sink.

My question is... Would I be better off somehow scraping off the thermal pad and putting a thermal compound on instead? Thanks in advance...

yea use some silver compound, or some real paste. easy upgrade, and your fop32 already has that great ystech 27cfm fan i was talking about.
