(#@* 700 cbo

Ive been trying different things on my system for around 3 weeks now. And im making some progress. Like today I found out that my jbatt jumpers are either printed wrong in the manual or they are upside down on the board itself (MSI 815 ePRO)
I have it running stable at 840 FSB @ 120mhz.
But if I pull the pair of jumpers to get the FSB on 133 default, the machine wont post, and the LEDS on the board say its stuck at the floppy disk controller init.
So I put the pins back on and decided to see how far I can push it past 100fsb.
So I tried a 132mshFSB setting, Well it posted at 924mhz, but it locked up when it was searching for my IDE devices.
Now could it be possible my old Maxtor 10.0 gig drive cant cut it on the ata100 controller? I belive the drive is one of the first 7200 rpm drives that came out.

And what is the best cas settings to use with Mushkin rev2 128mb? im on 2-2-2.
But the thing that bothers me the most is the fact that I cant get the FSB up to 133!!!!!!!
Any input is greatly appreciated.

Your 700 may not be able to do 933. This is the case with mine (Malay cB0 stepping too). The fastest it will post at is 868 (124fsb)@1.70v. I tried 933 as high as 1.85v and it just wouldn't post. Funny, I built a system 4 weeks early with the exact same malay cB0 stepping cpu from Onvia and it would do 933 at 1.75v no prob....same mobo and video as my system. Unfortunately, I sold that system. :(

OH, did you try increasing the voltage?

Well I pushed the voltage up to 1.8v and then pulled the pins for the 133 FSB and no dice.
Well I bought the chip off of Compuwiz1, who said that he personally tested the chip and it can easily reach 933 at 1.65v!?!?
Im going to try and see how far i can push the FSB above 100. It working fine @ 120mhz.
I ran prime95 for like 13hours or something.
And I see this refernce to some modification to the 815 where you pump the voltage to 1.85 default. Not sure if that would help me seeing how this cpu was tested at 1.65v.
Now at one point I thought the board was bad because I could not save BIOS settings, But i found out that the manual was printed upsidedown, and i switched the jumpers and now its saves..weird.
And another thing i noticed that the onboad sound wont work unless the CPU is running at default voltage and FSB. Is that true? Im trying to just run this sound until I can pick up a SB live.
Which bios revision are you using, im having the best luck with 1.2, and i havnt tried 1.1.
But the biggest problem is getting the machine to post at the 133fsb setting. Thats what i paid for and thats what i want. If i have the ambition i will get the markings off the CPU. And compuwiz moved to cali or something and i have had no contact with him.
And further ideas?

I got a 700 from copmuwiz also and he said it would do 933 and by gosh it is doing 933 at default voltage. So if he said it would do 933 then it must be something besides the chip.
