"Very badly" was one of their Bikini Atoll tests that went awry and was ~3x more powerful than expected.

My personal favorite was the Pascal-B Plumbbomb experiment, that was the '#x times the earth's escape velocity manhole cover' one. The yield got 'whoopsie'd' from 50t to 300t in a tube. Best. Potato. Gun. Ever.

With the human race continuously endangering itself by developing one marvelous existentially threatening weapon after another, it's amazing that we're all still here being able to discuss these miracles of science and technology.

It doesn't speak well for human nature that we have to develop weapons that fulfill the MAD doctrine to keep the peace among ourselves.

What are we, crazy or something?
Yes, we definitely are. We are destructive beings who are only getting more destructive each passing year.

It's shocking actually.

This so-called education was supposed to be something to wake humanity up. It has only made them more superficial and just as blind and ignorant as ever.

Most of humanity is a lost cause. The only thing left is for each person to try to improve himself inwardly.
