70 years ago, my grandparents got married

they are now 88 and 93, had 11 kids, currently have 9
have numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren

on their wedding day they drove a 1939 Studebaker, which is supposedly over some hill in the woods around there house... I shall find it...

congrats grandma and grandpa

George & Rita, 70 years.

honestly just learned today it was a shotgun wedding...

the pink wedding dress didnt make me think that, but it should have...

but the fact that my oldest uncle was born in January 1940, well do some math and you will realize this...

That is positively awesome ... I can only hope, though I'm not sure I want to live that long 😛

Awesome!

My wife's grandparents are at 63 this year. Pretty nuts. I haven't even been alive half that time.

LOL.

Let this be a lesson guys: Stick your dick in an 18 year old girl just once and it can lead to a 70-year sentence.

she still says "i didnt know i signed up for THIS" as in "this" she means, cooking, cleaning, 11 kids, and more... there is one other shotgun wedding within that side of the family that i learned about a few months ago... other than that family secrets are family secrets... It took my mom until my eldest uncles death, to do the math and realize he was born 6 months after they got married...

70 years of marriage is so much awesomesauce that they had 11 kids.

I mean, the awesomesauce was dribbling out.

No great-great grandchildren yet? 😛

It's awesome though.... 70 years.
