Cheers to all.I have an Gigabyte windforce 3x hd 7970 video card and in Furmark I have 67 and sometime hit 70 C degrees on stress test on 1920x1080 resolution with latest catalyst driver 15.7.1 ver.
I wondering if this temp are fine.I ran test for 20 minutes.I never overclock this card.In idle I have 33-35 C degrees
thanks,

That is fantastic. You have great temps and nothing to worry about at all! In fact, you should have some nice overclocking headroom. For Furmark, I wouldn't be worried about anything under 85C.

Does AMD reduce clockspeeds for Furmark like Nvidia?

If so MSI Kombuster might show maximum temps better. Still worth remembering Games won't reach these temps.

The clock is shown in the pic, and it's clearly not throttling. Also, Nvidia doesn't do it on purpose; it hits the power limit right away in Furmark. It does make things weird though: My 970 hits the same temps in heavy gaming as it does in Furmark (around 72C).

Wasn't sure of 7970 clockspeeds. Also with Furmark Nvidia uses a power profile to limit the clockspeed in Furmark. The equivalent test in Kombuster uses more power and generates more heat.

my model of video card is: GA 7970 ghz windforce 3x.For future I want to sell my card and buy gtx 970 or 980,because those card have hdmi 2.0 for 4k.
My card have hdmi 1.4 version and is sadly because only transport 30 hz in 4k
Don t know why concern AMD don t implement hdmi 2.0 on their card, even r9 fury x doesn t have hdmi 2.0.And most of the TV s come only with Hdmi not DP 🙁

How soon do you need a new card?

The 970/980 may have HDMI 2.0, but they are not fast enough to game at 4K, if that is your intention. If you just want to watch videos or something, there are cheaper solutions that have HDMI 2.0.

Oh, and those temps are fantastic for running furmark.

very soon, because I want to pass at 4k.I want to buy a 40 inch tv Samsung with 4k/60p with HEVC codec, hdcp 2.2 and for the moment only gtx 970/980 have hdmi 2.0,AMD don't🙁
SO shame from AMD company....I repeat I don t understand why they don t implement hdmi 2.0 on their cards. There are less dispozitives today with DP.
+1 GeForce company

p.s right now I write an email to company AMD to implement hdmi 2.0 for the next gen card,if they bothered to read.

Don't bother sending that email; they'll almost certainly do it. It's not like they hate it or something lol.

Are you planing on gaming at 4K? If so, unless you can deal with lower settings and possibly 30FPS, you'll need something faster. If you don't plan on gaming, it might be cheaper to just buy an adapter for now and upgrade next year, when there are more HDMI 2.0 options.

but wait I'm confuse a little. Please explain me if my video card have hdmi 1.4 with 4k/30hz how to convert signal from 4k/30p to 4k/60p?.I never seen such adapter.
And another question,tv must have 4k 60p or video card to receive 60 hertz??

There are adapters which convert Diplayport 1.2 to HDMI 2.0, though they're pretty hard to find. I'm not sure if your card actually supports it.

Both must support it.

Not aware that Nvidia supports hdmi 2.0a, and that comes with hdr and 10 bit video. I don't think that Nvidia has explicitly mentioned there's support for either. I'm waiting on solution from either that does hdmi 2.0a, and i'd recommend doing the same. If you must buy something now, and it is so that nVidia supports hdmi 2.0a, then you would not have any problem with uhd blu rays. on the other hand, you may just wait, like many others.

p.s I found a monitor from Philips 4k with 3ms whic have dp,hmdi 40 inch : Philips BDM4065UC but like i say is too expansive

New AMH A409U UHD 40" 3840X2160 16:9 4K LED Monitor 60Hz DP1.2 HDMI2.0 + Remote

However, if you are looking for a 4K TV, then it's completely difference compared to the Mango or the Phillips you linked. I've read a lot of positive feedback on Samsung's 4K LCDs for gaming:

Samsung UN40JU6500 40-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV (2015 Model)

The problem is for modern AAA games, neither the 7970, nor the 970/980 are good enough for 4K without dramatically lowering settings which basically defeats the purpose because if you have to drop down to Medium settings to make the game playable, it's going to look worse than a 1080P/1440P pictures maxed out.

I sell the card today. For the future I want to buy gtx, because gtx have more unit implemented in their card like😛hsys x,cuda,FXAA and Nvidia Flex. This Nvidia Flex fascinating me.I saw on youtube ;d
