7-zip or WinRAR

wtf is 7-zip?

my last thread (winzip vs. winrar) that i posted HERE was moved to software/apps. just fyi 😛
 
Not sure which format is better, but I like the little zipgenius app for zipping and unzipping stuff. I know it supports 7zip, not to sure about rar stuff.

WinRar is perfect already. not broken don't fix it. I have never heard of 7 zip and never intend to learn more.

The trial never stops working..at least not for the version I have (one of the older ones)..*shrug*
 
Wow, didn't know that WinRAR would keep working.

I have been using a totally free archive program called TugZIP. Funny name, but it works. I tried 7-Zip, but it didn't support drag and drop so I removed it.
 
I use WinRAR out of habit, but have 7z for it's impressive compresion, plus it seems to be finally gaining more acceptance.
